I was born in Bellflower, California in 1962, to parents who were both painters and, at the time, very much a part of the west coast art scene. Artist, openings and shows played a large part in my upbringing. However, being avid travellers, my parents decided to leave California in search of more artistically stimulating cultures in southern France, Spain and Italy, finally settling in France in 1969.

After a melange of schooling in England and France I started my art training in 1981 at Parsons School of Design in Paris, and went on to do a summer course at the Lacoste School of the Arts in Provence, then headed by New York artist, Bernard Pfriem.

The winter of 1983 was spent in Paris studying with sculptress Ruth Franken, and, the following summer I went to Barcelona to learn etching at the Dalí workshop. I graduated in 1987 with a B. A. Honours degree from St. Martins School of Art in London, and, since then, have exhibited regularly all over Europe and the United States.

Several years ago I made my home on the Mediterranean island of Mallorca, where I now live with my companion.
