The LA LUNA factory, situated in Sóller since it's founding in 1900, is the oldest and most well known in Mallorca. Ever since the beginning LA LUNA has specialised in the traditional Mallorcan sausage, 'SOBRASSADA'. Els treballadors, 1934

Today we at LA LUNA still use the same procedures as our predecessors, those of the traditional artisan. The curing is a completely natural process that is carried out in our cellars, where the temperature and humidity are stable and provide the ideal conditions that give our LA LUNA's products that characteristic bouquet.
These products are starch free, which means that they are suitable for consumption by people who suffer coelic disease and therefore need a gluten free diet. LA LUNA is registered with the 'F.A.C.E.' (Federación de Asociaciones de Celíacos de España, tel: 91 541 0939).
We also produce the emblematic SOBRASSADA made from the autoctonous porc negre, or black pig.
LA LUNA is registered number 04 by the regulatory council 'SOBRASSADA DE MALLORCA', and also has been distinguished as EMPRESA ARTESANA by the Balearic government.

PATÉS LA LUNA
are produced from 100% natural ingredients, with no added colours or preservatives, like our SOBRASSADES they contain no starch.
We specialize in the artisan production of pates made with:
Mushrooms (Bolets)
Black pig (Porc negre)
Mallorcan chicken (Pollastre Mallorquí)
These are all produced with our own recipes, with over a century of experience behind us we manage a simplicity of taste and aroma 'par excellence'.
To consume our products is to relive the taste of days bygone, today, alas, almost forgotten.
